A huge permanent market is going to be set up at Buniadpur in South Dinajpur district at the initiative of the state government. Due to the corona, the vegetable market was shifted from Buniadpur Hatkhola area to the area around the football ground at the initiative of the municipality last year. The local people and traders have long demanded that a permanent vegetable market be set up in the area. Biplob Mitra, the current Agriculture Marketing Minister of the state, had promised to create a permanent market in the municipal area if he won the election by campaigning before the Assembly elections. On his initiative, Managing Director of the concerned department of the state government, Sub-Divisional Governor Manabendra Debnath, Municipal Administrator of Gangarampur Prashant Mitra, Mayor of Buniadpur Municipality Akhil Chandra Barman and others visited the site to build the market. If all goes well, the market will start functioning in a few days, administration sources said. The giant high quality market will be created in the area so the local people are very happy. Everyone applauded the initiative of Agriculture Marketing Minister Biplob Mitra and the state government.
